Demaclenko Update- new projects for Italy

Our blue snow guns on the Dolomite peaks of San Martino di Castrozza

Demaclenko was recently awarded an important project in Trentino in the ski resort of San Martino di Castrozza. In part restructuring, and in part new construction, this 3 Mio Euro project will be divided into several stages.

The first stage is in progress and involves the construction of a new lake with a 46,000 cubic meter capacity which is the basis to assure the water supply. Further stages involve the laying of about 4,300 m. of ductile iron pipes (2,300 of which in 2015) and the construction of a new pump house which will include 4 pumps of 315 and 160 kW with a total flow rate of 132 litres/sec. In total, San Martino will rely on its existing snow making machines, plus additionally 4 Ventus and 8 Titan fan guns mounted on fixed towers. The artificial lake, close to the track slopes, will be monitored just like the other components by the Demaclenko Snowvisual control software.

The construction project will be completed in 2016.

The group synergy create new partnerships: Contract awarded at Prato Carnico

The Group strategy leads Demaclenko and the sister companies to be awarded always more and more projects together. The last example of this is Prato Carnico, in the Friuli Region, where only of a few days ago LEITNER ropeways and DEMACLENKO were jointly awarded a new project.

The Managers of the resort have decided to rely on the expertise of the Leitner Group for the modernization of their lifts as well as of their snow making system. For Demaclenko this job will involve the laying of around 1000 m of ductile iron pipe and the construction of a new pump house rated 37 kW and capable of a flow rate of 16 litres/sec. In addition, Demaclenko will install 11 snow guns: 8 VIS UP lances and 3 EVO mobile fan guns.
