Demaclenko comes "home" to deliver its 1,000th Snow gun in 2017: official handover to Ski Carosello Corvara

We believe that important milestones should be celebrated, which is why we are proud to celebrate the official handover of the 1,000th snow gun produced in 2017.

As part of the LEITNER Group, Demaclenko has long been one of the leading companies in the sector and set to expand this position energetically and enthusiastically in future.
And so it is no surprise that we have once again produced our 1,000 snow gun this year, to be delivered to Skicarosello Corvara. This ski resort association is part of Dolomiti Superski and unites 5 different companies under one roof. The specially branded machine intended for Funivie del Boé, will be used on the legendary World Cup slope “Gran Risa” and guarantee that the surface there is perfect for the FIS Alpine Super G races in December. The World Cup slope is the pride and joy of the Italian ski circuit, particularly impressive for its breathtaking backdrop in the heart of the Dolomites.
This morning it was finally time to hand over the custom build of the 1,000th snow gun, with the official presentation overseen by Andreas Dorfmann, CEO of Demaclenko, with Anton Seeber, President of the LEITNER Group, in attendance, at the valley station of Funivie del Boé. Andrea Varallo, the Director of Skicarosello Corvara and as Vice-President of Dolomiti Superski responsible for the ski resorts of the Val Badia valley, was on hand to accept the snow gun.
We have a long and fruitful partnership with Funivie del Boé, enabling us to conclude another building project this year. To build the pipeline for the 800 m slope, Demaclenko delivered several kilometers of cable and pressure pipelines, and installed many Z160 pits for fiberglass cable along the Costoratta slope, which runs at the rear of Boé. A range of snow guns on inclined towers provide optimal snow conditions on the new slope section. Together with the other components, they are integrated in the latest update of the Snowvisual 4.0 control software. The other new propeller machines we are delivering to Skicarosello Corvara will be shared among the Seggiovie Sompunt and Grandi Funivie Alta Badia ski resorts.
After we delivered the 1,000th snow gun to Schultz-Gruppe’s Spieljoch ski resort in Zillertal valley last year, this year’s jubilee product will be used in Italy, enhancing the cooperation between Demaclenko and the ski resorts in Alta Badia.
Demaclenko’s promising order book situation in 2017 is largely due to development of many partnerships in and around South Tyrol. Accordingly, the company delivered many new snow guns for Sexten, St. Vigil, Ritten, Olang, Plose and Jaufenpass, Ratschings and Schnalstal and expanded existing snowmaking systems with new line material or new pumping stations.
