Two names - one promise: Demaclenko & St. Moritz culminate long-standing partnership

Demaclenko named “official supplier” of the 2017 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in St. Moritz

Demaclenko has managed to become a partner of the most significant event in Alpine skiing after the Olympic games. After renewing its contract this year and as a result of the perfect synergy between the ski resort and the team from Demaclenko, the company has now received the distinction of being an official supplier of the 2017 FIS Alpine Ski Championships in St. Moritz. For the fifth time, the world championships will once again take place at this unique winter sports destination. As in years past, organizers will trust in core competencies from Demaclenko. This close cooperation began some 10 years ago with the initial acquisition of a snow gun, which proved itself capable on the race courses of the 4th Alpine Ski Championships in 2003. The first phase of construction for the current project began 2-3 years ago and included the erection of numerous high-performance pumping stations along with a cooling-tower facility and a reservoir. The project’s final phase is focused on completing the Lej Alv, a 400,000 m³ natural reservoir. In the lead up to the championship, organizers relied on countless Titan 2.0 snow guns in various configurations in order to ensure both optimal conditions during the 2 weeks of racing and to make the world’s steepest start of a downhill course even more spectacular.

Sponsoring in St. Moritz was extremely important for Demaclenko. As a result, the company decided in concert with the organizing committee to specially brand the propeller machines for the event.

Demaclenko is proud to be named an official sponsor of such a storied and exhilarating event. The company takes seriously its role in protecting and respecting this unique mountain location, and is looking forward to a successful world championship.
